Amplified is the first studio album by hip hop musician Q-Tip, released November 23, 1999 on Arista Records. As the debut album of Q-Tip, recording and release followed the disbanding of A Tribe Called Quest. Production was handled almost entirely by hip hop producer J Dilla, who had previously produced for A Tribe Called Quest. The Recording Industry Association of America certified the album gold. As of July 2008, the album has sold 675,000 copies in the United States.
